ENGINE
As with everything else on the Scarabeo 200, the engine is completely new and designed by Aprilia specially for Scarabeo. These advanced light engines, clean and efficient combine excellent performance with a consumption miserable, almost free of vibration in use and have ultra low emissions, according to the Scarabeo ecological philosophy. This single-cylinder four-stroke, offers the pleasure, safety and comfort. It is liquid cooled, four-valve cylinder heads, dual head, which is used for the first time an Aprilia scooter of this size. The 200 version delivers an impressive 14 kW (19 hp) at 8250 rpm and a generous torque (17 Nm at 7,500 rpm), a sporting and relaxing acceleration and excellent active safety in all driving conditions. With the original design concept of the fuel is a modern Keihin carburettor easy, hassle free. The catalytic converter is fitted to ensure cleaner emissions and bring Scarabeo 200, within the limits of the Euro 3 standards. Particularly low fuel consumption is also a rich reservoir of 8 liters of fuel, all combine to give more than enough for the autonomy of the city in a week commuting.
The front fork is a 35 mm hydraulic unit. At the rear, to operate the engine and transmission as swingarm, with the help of an aluminum torque arm. Simple, easy, but effective, this solution includes shock absorbers, which lets you adjust preload to four different settings to meet all possible loads and riding styles. The refined wheels are fitted with wheels 16 "high-wall tubeless (100/80 front, 120/80 rear).
